Devastating spring freeze wipes out apple crop at Freehold's Battleview Orchards (news12.com) — Battleview Orchards in Freehold has lost its entire apple crop to a rare late-April freeze and will not offer apple picking this season, a first in five generations. The farm's country market remains open, still selling fresh produce, baked goods, and apple cider donuts made with sourced apples. Other New Jersey farms are also grappling with similar weather-related losses.

The Open for Business in Monmouth initiative invites more local owners, chambers, and towns to request county participation in future grand openings or milestone celebrations, aiming to boost visibility for both mom-and-pop shops and larger stores.
   

4. 'Creative Heritage: Arts & Culture in Monmouth County,' All Monmouth County High School Students Invited to Arts Photo Contest. Learn more👇🏼 (tapinto.net) — Announced from Freehold, Monmouth County is inviting all local high school students to enter a photography contest celebrating the county's arts and culture, with entries due October 1. Winning photos will be displayed at Archives & History Day on October 10 at Brookdale Community College, where top students will be recognized and eligible for gift card prizes.
