1. Community for Art is Back!!!! (freeholdboroughnj.gov) — Families in Freehold can now sign up for the Borough's Community for Art fall program, with six-week sessions for kids and adults at Borough Hall on Mechanic Street. Residents get discounted registration, and participants will help create tiles for a new Community Mural Project, all led by local artist Toni Field.
   

2. NJIB's Guide to New Jersey Halloween Events (newjerseyisntboring.com) — Freehold residents can dive into spooky season close to home with the Lunar Faire Night Market: Dark Carnival coming to the Freehold Fairgrounds, featuring witchy vendors, performances, and food trucks. The broader guide also highlights dozens of Halloween parades, pet events, trunk-or-treats, and festivals across New Jersey, offering plenty of options for fall outings beyond town limits.
   

3. Freehold teacher gets 12-year prison sentence in abuse case (wchram.com) — A former Freehold Intermediate School special education teacher has been sentenced to 12 years in state prison after pleading guilty to aggravated sexual assault involving an eighth-grade student. Prosecutors say she groomed the teen through thousands of texts and gifts before the abuse was reported by a vice principal, and she must now register as a sex offender and surrender her teaching certificate.
   

4. Bishop's Anniversary Blessing Oct. 4, 18 (trentonmonitor.com) — Married couples in Monmouth and Ocean counties can still register for the Bishop's Anniversary Blessing Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Co-Cathedral in Freehold on Oct. 18. The celebration includes renewal of vows, a special blessing from Bishop O'Connell, and a reception afterward, with registration available through local parishes or the diocesan website.
