• What Projects Should Freehold Borough Fund? Voting Now Open (patch.com) — Freehold Borough residents and business owners can now vote on which community projects should receive up to $200,000 in borough funding, including park steps, a Little League sound system, and Liberty Park bleachers. Anyone 14 or older who lives in the borough, or owns a business there, can cast ballots online or on paper through Oct. 15, with winning projects announced at the Oct. 19 council meeting.
   

• 2026 Shore Conference Girls Soccer Week 4 Top 10 (shoresportsinsider.com) — Freehold Township girls soccer holds the No. 10 spot in the Shore Conference rankings and faces a key home test against No. 7 Trinity Hall this week. Trinity Hall will then host Freehold Boro, giving local fans two chances to see how both Freehold programs stack up against ranked competition in divisional and non‑divisional play.
   

• NJIB's Guide to New Jersey Halloween Mulit-Day Events (newjerseyisntboring.com) — Freehold families can dive into Halloween House Freehold at Freehold Raceway Mall from October 2 to November 1, with themed rooms and decor but no jump scares. It's one of many multi‑day Halloween attractions statewide, ranging from haunted theaters and ghost tours to pumpkin glows and kid‑friendly train rides across New Jersey.
