State Police Seek ID For Remains Found In Brigantine In 1982

ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ - New Jersey State Police are seeking the public's help identifying skeletal remains discovered more than four decades ago in Brigantine.

The remains of an unidentified male were found on May 14, 1982, in a marshy meadow area next to Golden Hammock Thorofare in Brigantine City, Atlantic County, according to the State Police Missing Persons Unit. Investigators estimate the man died sometime between 1981 and 1982.

The individual is believed to have been a white male between the ages of 35 and 45, standing approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing around 165 pounds, police said. A composite sketch was created depicting what he is believed to have looked like at the time his remains were discovered.
