• N.J. police evacuate apartment building after chilling 911 call (nj.com subscription) — Garfield police evacuated a Spencer Place apartment building late Tuesday night after a 911 caller falsely claimed to have a gun and bomb and threatened to shoot anyone approaching. Officers found no weapons or explosives and are investigating it as a possible swatting incident tied to a local Twitch streamer. Residents with information are urged to contact Garfield police.
