WARREN COUNTY, NJ — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a car involved in a hit-and-run in Warren County Thursday morning.

Just before 8 a.m., police were called to a hit-and-run car crash involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Old Hackettstown Road and Puffer Road in Allamuchy Township.

Officials said a white sedan (pictured above) was approaching the intersection when a school bus, with its red flashing lights activated and stop sign arm extended, came to a stop.

Authorities said the sedan did not stop for the school bus and hit a woman who was crossing the road. She suffered "serious, but non-life-threatening injuries" and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, officials added.

The sedan left the scene after crashing into the woman, turning left onto Johnsonburg Road, then left onto County Road 613, police said.
