• 13th Annual Halloween Downtown Promises Spook-Tacular Fun in Hackettstown (tapinto.net) — Hackettstown's Main Street will host the 13th Annual Halloween Downtown celebration on Saturday, October 31, with a costume parade stepping off from Centenary University at noon and festivities at The Gazebo from 1 to 3 p.m. Families can enjoy costume judging, candy, pumpkins, and downtown trick-or-treating, plus trunk-or-treat spots at Trinity United Methodist Church and Municipal Lot #2.
   

• Boys Cross Country Runners of the Week for Sept. 22: The leagues are in full swing (lancasteronline.com) — Hackettstown runner Joseph Pangallo has been named New Jersey Boys Cross Country Runner of the Week after posting the top Hunterdon/Warren time at the Bernie Magee meet. Freshman Alexander Pinto also earned honorable mention, putting Hackettstown firmly on the regional distance-running map. The feature spotlights standout performances from several area leagues and schools.
