Officers across New Jersey will be stepping up enforcement, with thousands of tickets expected as officials push to reduce crash deaths involving unbelted motorists. 
• Buena man admits assaulting Hammonton officers, leaving crash scene (breakingac.com) — Hammonton residents may recall a police response to the town’s train station, where a Buena Borough man tried to steal an e-bike and then assaulted officers; he has now pleaded guilty. The same man also admitted leaving a separate crash scene in Buena Vista Township and faces an 18‑month prison sentence at a June 23 hearing.
• Bella Ramos' walk-off 3-run homer highlights St. Joesph's second straight CAL championship (pressofatlanticcity.com) — Hammonton softball fans saw a dramatic Cape-Atlantic League Tournament final in town, as St. Joseph Academy edged Hammonton behind a walk-off three-run homer from Bella Ramos.
