The recognition highlights both his academic promise and the strong support from Hasbrouck Heights schools in helping students reach competitive national benchmarks.
   

• Ex-Cop Arrested For Shooting Paintballs At Cars In 5 Bergen County Towns: Prosecutor (patch.com) — Hasbrouck Heights drivers and parked cars were among the targets in a string of paintball attacks across five Bergen County towns, with several incidents in the borough over multiple days. Prosecutors say a former Garfield police sergeant has been arrested and charged in connection with nine total incidents, after investigators reviewed surveillance footage and victim statements.
   

• Bronx men arrested in Saddle Brook armed robbery case (nj.com subscription) — Hasbrouck Heights police joined several agencies helping Bergen County investigators track down two Bronx men accused in an armed robbery outside a Saddle Brook business in June. Authorities say the suspects were identified through vehicle records and later arrested in New York, where they await extradition on armed robbery and weapons charges related to the early-morning holdup.
