• Flood Rescue Truck Coming To Hawthorne After Resident Donates Military Vehicle (tapinto.net) — Hawthorne is preparing a donated former Army cargo truck for use in future flood rescues, giving firefighters a high-clearance vehicle that can carry about 30 people. The borough is funding repairs while nearby Glen Rock and local businesses help with mechanical work, paint, and lettering, and officials plan to train police and ambulance crews so the truck can support regional swiftwater emergencies along Route 208 and other flood-prone areas.
