• Hillsborough Launches 112-Acre Raritan River Restoration At Duke Farms (patch.com) — Hillsborough residents can expect long-term environmental and flood-resilience benefits from a 112-acre restoration at Duke Farms along the Raritan River, funded through a Superfund-related settlement. Crews have planted 50,000 native trees and shrubs, built vernal pools, and installed deer fencing to create healthier floodplain forests and wetlands. The project will be monitored for 15 years to boost biodiversity, improve water quality, and better manage storm flooding near River Road and the Nevius Street Bridge.
