• Council rejects Verizon lease at swim club (thepressgroup.net) — Hillsdale’s Borough Council has rejected a 25-year lease with Verizon for a 130-foot cell tower at Stonybrook Swim Club, despite widespread concern over poor service on the town’s east side. After extensive resident opposition focused on property values and preserving the club, officials pledged to keep exploring alternative sites and technologies to close dangerous coverage gaps affecting emergency communications.
