Principals And Vice Principals Changing At 3 Hoboken Schools
The new assignments at three of the district's five schools take effect in August.
HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hoboken public schools announced a series of administrative changes last week, moving several principals and vice principals.
Superintendent Christine Johnson said the changes will become effective on Aug. 1.
"The Hoboken Public School District is fortunate to have an exceptionally talented team of educational leaders," Johnson wrote in her announcement, saying the changes will make use of the leaders' strengths.

The principals of two of the elementary schools will switch places.
Stephen Dickerson, the current principal of Wallace Elementary School on Willow Avenue, will become principal of Joseph F. Brandt Elementary School on Ninth Street.

Charles Bartlett, the current principal of Brandt School, will move to Wallace.
Andrea Della Fave, vice principal at Brandt, will move along with Bartlett to become Wallace's vice principal. She will work alongside Vice Principal Kevin Mehnert.
Robin Baskinger, who now serves as vice principal of Hoboken Middle School on Fourth Street, will become the new vice principal at Brandt.
Elizabeth Palmer, the current vice principal at Wallace Elementary School, will become vice principal at Hoboken Middle School when she returns to the district in fall after a leave of absence.
In the meantime, Martin Shannon will serve as interim vice principal at Hoboken Middle School for the first marking period.
"These leadership transitions reflect our ongoing commitment to providing strong administrative support across all schools while continuing to advance our goals," Johnson wrote."Each of these administrators has demonstrated a steadfast dedication to our students, families, and staff, and I am confident that these assignments will strengthen our schools and support continued student success."
The last day of school for the 2025-2026 school year was this past Tuesday.
