Pizza Restaurant Closes In Jersey City, And Owner Gives Update On Hoboken Location
Tony Boloney's Pizza has closed in Jersey City, but what about the Hoboken site? It's complicated.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Tony Boloney's Pizza, a chain known for its unique pizza toppings and sandwiches, has closed its Jersey City location and is working to reopen the site in Hoboken.
"Jersey City store is closed for good," owner Mike Hauke told Patch this week. "Hoboken to be determined."
The Hoboken location, pictured above, closed in August after suffering a small fire.

Hauke said he has been going through the legal process to reopen the Hoboken store on First Street.
The restaurant group started with a spot in Atlantic City, which is still open, and then expanded to Hoboken in 2014.

It's become known for its ample and unique pizzas and subs, including a taco pizza with guacamole — which sells for $46-$93 depending on size — and a Pope Leo pizza.
In 2022 they premiered a Ukraine flag pizza, with proceeds going to charity.
