Magic Show To Be Held In Harry Houdini's Hudson County Lair

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Harry Houdini's former film lab in Union City was recently transformed into a unique coffee shop, and now it will host an even more unique show.

Houdini 100: A Night of Magic and Mentalism, a magic show, will take place on Thursday, believed to be the day the magician died 100 years ago.

Organizers said, "On the 100th anniversary of Harry Houdini’s death, Beni Coffee and the Weehawken Gazette invite you to a night of magic featuring David Corsaro, inside Houdini’s very own former photography lab and workshop.

"Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating the legacy of the legendary escape artist in a truly historic setting! David Corsaro won a trophy on Penn & Teller: Fool Us, a feat only 10 percent of magicians have achienved in the more than 10 years the show has been on the air!"

They noted that many say Houdini died on Oct. 31, 1926, but a new book called Houdini, The Man Who died Twice, argues he actually died on Oct 30.

The Wild About Harry blog gave the show a writeup recently:
