HOLMDEL, NJ — Two full days of feline fun are set to take place this fall when the Catsbury Park Cat Convention returns to Holmdel.

Taking place at Bell Works on Saturday and Sunday, the convention will bring together cat lovers from across the region for a weekend filled with adoptable cats, educational presentations, celebrity guests, interactive activities, shopping and community.

This year’s convention will feature a lineup of returning fan favorites and first-time guests, offering attendees the chance to hear from some of the most recognizable names in the cat world and beyond, officials said.

Renowned cat behavior expert, bestselling author, and animal advocate Jackson Galaxy will return to the convention, bringing with him his signature insights on feline behavior, enrichment, and the human-cat bond.

Also returning is Adam "Cat Man" Myatt, whose presentations and popular CAT MAN BINGO have become a convention tradition, blending cat trivia, humor, and audience participation.

Making his Catsbury Park debut this year is Jersey Shore comedian and content creator Drennon Davis, whose popular "Business Cats" videos have attracted millions of views and a loyal online following with their blend of comedy and feline antics.

The convention will also welcome back Sterling "TrapKing" Davis, founder of TrapKing Humane Cat Solutions and one of the nation's leading voices for Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), community cats, and equity in animal welfare.

Through his advocacy, education, and outreach, Sterling has inspired people to support humane solutions for outdoor cats while making animal welfare more accessible and inclusive for all communities.

"Together, this year's special guests promise a weekend filled with expert advice, inspiring conversations, laughs, and unforgettable experiences for cat lovers of every age," convention officials said.

Hosted by Catsbury Park, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Asbury Park, the Cat Convention aims to directly support the organization’s mission: helping to save the lives of cats and kittens in need through rescue, TNR, and education at the Jersey Shore and beyond.

All proceeds will benefit Catsbury Park and its rescue partners.

“Our goal has never been to simply host a convention,” Catsbury Park Founder DJ Bornschein said. “We want to create a weekend that celebrates every part of cat culture from education and entertainment to art and community while raising meaningful support for Catsbury Park and our partner rescue organizations.”

“Every ticket purchased, every vendor, every sponsor, and every attendee helps us continue our rescue mission long after the convention ends,” he continued.

Catsbury Park was founded in July 2016 in Asbury Park by Bornschein, a Jersey Shore native, as a foster-based rescue.

Bornschein brought over 25 kittens into his home, got them vetted, spayed & neutered, and eventually adopted.

That summer, he had the vision to expand Catsbury Park, open NJ’s first cat cafe to help find homes for even more cats, and increase Catsbury Park’s visibility.

Inspired by his visit to Cat Town Rescue and the cat cafe in Oakland during his time in San Francisco, Bornschein later brought the idea to New Jersey.
