I am Running to Put Holmdel First
Holmdel needs our TC to listen and respond to residents' concerns

My name is Ron Emma and I am running for Holmdel Township Committee.
For those of you who don’t know me, I have been a Holmdel resident for almost 20 years.
Most recently, I served for three years on the Holmdel Planning Board. While there, I advocated for smart, long-term planning that would benefit Holmdel and its residents, not developers. I stood against overdevelopment and water contamination at Vonage.
You may not know that I was a founding member of F.A.S.T., an organization we developed when tragic fires began ripping through parts of Holmdel because we didn’t have a centralized fire station or new equipment. Our advocacy led to Holmdel building the new firehouse and getting the new truck, which marked a major improvement in public safety. This led to a decrease in homeowners’ insurance premiums for many residents.
I have been engaged in the community for years, back to when we fought against health-hazard turf fields.
I was also very involved in the HYAA, coaching my daughter’s teams and forging relationships across this wonderful community. It was a great time for Holmdel when our schools were top-ranked, and my daughter, having attended our schools for her entire school career, went on to become a National Merit Scholar. We need to get back to that kind of excellence.
I am running because I believe in Holmdel, but I’m concerned about the direction current leadership is taking us in.
Witnessing the TC meetings and being involved in the Vonage application as a member of the Planning Board, I became deeply concerned that the current TC does not feel the need to listen to the concerns of its constituents.
It’s time to change that. I hope to engage with you further in the coming months and to earn your trust and your vote in the Republican primary on June 2nd.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Ron Emma
