• Holmdel High School Students Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists (patch.com) — Holmdel residents can celebrate two Holmdel High School seniors, Leon Du and Kim Hong, who have been named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists, placing them among the top one percent of U.S. students. Their achievement gives Holmdel a stake in the 2027 scholarship competition, as they now advance in a rigorous process that could lead to prestigious awards next spring.
   

• Making the Leap: Rumson's Brady Williams Ignites Passing Game in Win Over Holmdel (shoresportsinsider.com) — Holmdel's football team fell 40-28 at home to Rumson-Fair Haven, despite a big night from receiver Anthony Serini and running back Michael Todisco. The game highlighted Rumson quarterback Brady Williams' breakout passing performance, but also showed Holmdel's ability to keep pace offensively. Holmdel now looks to rebound when it hosts ranked St. John Vianney in its next divisional matchup.
   

• Iconic Band Frontman Pauses Concert, Tells Fans to Encourage His Amateur Hobby (wideopencountry.com) — Fans at a recent Breaking Benjamin concert in Holmdel heard frontman Benjamin Burnley pause the show to gush about his unexpected hobby: creating mods for Fallout 4 and Skyrim. He used the Holmdel stage break to explain his "True First Person" Fallout 4 mod and jokingly challenge a fellow modder by asking the crowd's help to boost his download numbers.
