Sports Card & Pokemon Expo Returns to Hazlet's Raritan High School

On Sunday, June 28^th, the “Exit 117 Sports Cards and Pokemon Buy, Sell & Trade Expo” will make its return to Raritan High School in Hazlet. The show will include vendors of sports cards, memorabilia and supplies, as well vendors focusing on non-sports collectibles, such as Pokemon, One Piece and Yu-Gi-Oh cards.

The show is the result of a collaboration between Hot Corner Promotions and Our Cards & Collectibles, two of central New Jersey’s top show promoters. Both organizations are family-run businesses based in Monmouth county, and both have been operating card shows for decades.

“There are many card collectors in Monmouth county who have been looking for buying and selling opportunities closer to home”, said Alex Escalante of Hot Corner Promotions. “In order to attend larger recurring card shows, collectors either have to travel to North Jersey, far into South Jersey or go out of state. We chose Hazlet as a central location to allow collectors from across the state, and throughout the tri-state area, to have a more convenient option. Our vendors know that they have two very passionate promoters who want to see this program grow and thrive for years to come.”

“Raritan High School was also a logical choice for the show. The location is easily accessible from the Parkway, and we are able to help support a Monmouth county school system with fundraising opportunities from the show”, Escalante continued. “I was born and raised in Monmouth county, as was Steven Rohar of Our Cards and Collectibles. The show provides us with an opportunity to give back to the community and to help support the Raritan High School Athletics program.”

The Expo is planned to be a recurring show, featuring the best card vendors in the tri-state area. The vendors feature top-line inventory, and will have cash in hand for the purchase of cards and collections from attendees. There will be a food truck on site, ample parking in the high school lot, and the facility is handicap accessible.

Raritan High School is located at 419 Middle Road in Hazlet, NJ. It is easily accessible from Parkway exit 117 from the north, and Parkway exit 114 from the south, as well as from Routes 35 and 36. The show will run from 9 am through 4 pm on Sunday, June 28^th.
