• Hopatcong Electronics Recycling Day Coming Oct. 3: What Residents Should Know (patch.com) — Hopatcong residents have a free chance to clear out old electronics at Sussex County's Electronics Recycling Day on Saturday, Oct. 3, in Lafayette. The countywide event, open to Hopatcong households, accepts many common devices like computers, TVs, and printers, giving locals a convenient, no-cost way to responsibly dispose of e-waste.
   

• State Proposes $20, 20-Year Lease for Historic Roxbury Museum (tapinto.net) — A proposed 20-year, $20 state lease would let the Lake Hopatcong Historical Society keep operating and expanding its museum at the Morris Canal Gatekeeper's House in Hopatcong State Park, including plans for a new exhibit barn. The group is also seeking major grants and contributing its own funds for extensive restoration work, which would preserve local history and improve public access for Hopatcong-area residents.
