• Data Center Ban In Howell Reconfirmed In New Ordinance (patch.com) — Howell residents are reacting to a newly passed ordinance that reconfirms a township-wide ban on AI and other data centers, following an Aug. 18 council vote. Local officials say the move is meant to protect quality of life, energy and water resources, while leaving room to later allow small, low-impact data centers in limited zones or public properties.
   

• PWBA announces 2027 PWBA Regional Tour schedule (bowl.com) — Howell bowlers can look ahead to a big moment in 2027, when the PWBA Garden State Regional comes to Howell Lanes on August 29. The women's pro regional tour stop will bring top female bowlers to town for a one-day qualifying and stepladder finals event, all streamed on BowlTV.
