HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — The polls in the Hudson County primary elections have closed, and now voters can watch the numbers come in.

Up for election this year is a seat on the Hudson County Board of Commissioners, representing Hoboken and part of Jersey City.
Ron Bautista is running as a Democrat to succeed longtime County Commissioner (formerly Freeholder) Anthony Romano.

While both were expected to vie for the Democratic nomination, Romano has decided not to run again.
Bautista may face an Independent candidate in the general election in June. Candidates must file by Tuesday.
The commissioner's seat will represent Hoboken and some of Jersey City.
