$5M-$10M Cross Street Reconstruction Project Moves Ahead In Lakewood
Ocean County is seeking bids for road widening, stormwater improvements and other work along Cross Street.
LAKEWOOD, NJ — A multimillion-dollar reconstruction and widening project along Cross Street is moving ahead in Lakewood.
Ocean County is seeking bids for Phase 2 of the project, covering about 0.6 miles of County Route 626 from Prospect Street to Augusta Boulevard.
The county estimates construction will cost between $5 million and $10 million.

Plans call for reconstruction and widening along the stretch, along with stormwater management improvements, traffic signal installation and utility relocations.
Bids are due Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 11 a.m. The county's notice does not provide a construction start date or completion timeline.
