Join us on September 11th at 7:00 PM for an unforgettable evening featuring the fabulous Thomas Mathis Burlesque high tea.Enjoy a theatrical night of dazzling entertainment, music, captivating dancing & signing performances, and a story line performance based on the original history of the Mathis House original owner, Thomas A. Mathis.
Enjoy the show while indulging in a delicious high tea dinner in a period set atmosphere that will allow you to step back in time to an era gone by. Gather your friends, dress up for the occasion, and get ready for an evening filled with laughter, excitement, and memorable moments.Whether you’re planning a special night out or simply looking for something unique and entertaining, this show is sure to make your evening one to remember.
The High Tea Menu Includes:
Warm bread with Mathis House herb butter.
A choice of soup: Cream of Mushroom, split pea with honey baked ham, or zucchini Parmesan
A seasonal pasta salad with black olives, roasted peppers, grape tomatoes, chopped salami and feta cheese with a balsamic glaze.

Hearty tea sandwiches and savories:
Sliced roast beef with caramelized onions, arugula, Swiss cheese and a horseradish aioli melted & grilled to perfection on sour dough bread, turkey and provolone with a cranberry mayonnaise and sliced Granny Smith apples, chicken Waldorf salad on a buttery croissant, and a warm Brie tartlet with apple butter and candied pecan.Warm butterscotch scone with clotted cream, lemon cured and apricot preserves.
A variety of Tea time desserts:
Lemon bar, French macron, scrumptious crumb cake and a carrot cake cupcake with cream cheese frosting.
High tea includes a pot of fall flavored tea, gourmet iced tea and coffee with a complimentary glass of champagne.
Cream Ridge Wines are available to purchase at the time of the event. Featuring Harvest sangria and cranberry sparkling wine to complement the fall flavored high tea menu.
Guests are encouraged to wear 1920’s attire and participate in a contest to win an overnight stay to the Mathis House or Huddy House Bed and Breakfast. Winner to be announced at the end of the dinner show.Doors open at 7:00 PM, parking located at the rear of the Inn and dietary restrictions must be provided at time of booking the reservation.The cost is $50 per person plus tax and gratuity. 10% discount for seniors (65+) and military.
