• Madison Football Falls to Mountain Lakes, 24-14 (tapinto.net) — Madison High School's football team dropped to 0-2 after a 24-14 home loss to Mountain Lakes, despite a strong passing night from quarterback Grady Soeder and receiver Sam Tanner. The Dodgers were held to just six rushing yards but will look to rebound when they travel to Sparta for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff on September 10.

• Christmas Lights in New Jersey: Every Morris County Tree Lighting and the Drive-Through Shows Worth the Trip (shopmorriscounty.com) — Madison's beloved Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting is expected to return downtown and along Waverly Place the Friday after Thanksgiving, with a free parade around 5:30 p.m. and the tree lighting about an hour later.
