Co-sponsored by the Manalapan Environmental Commission and Beyond Plastics, NJ
Presented by Jenine Tankoos, Chair of the Manalapan Environmental Commission and Lois Kraus, Co-chair of Beyond Plastics, NJ
Join the Manalapan Environmental Commission and Beyond Plastics NJ to watch a condensed 50 minute screening of “The Plastic Detox” and engage in deeper conversation on how we can shift our relationship with plastic, and how you can participate in a global movement to reduce single-use plastic. Released globally on Netflix on March 16, 2026, The Plastic Detox reveals the startling effects plastics and toxic chemicals are having on our bodies and health. This new documentary will help reframe the global plastic problem — a core driver of fossil fuel demand — as an urgent public health issue.

Our volunteers focus on education and advocating for state and local legislation.
