Theft, Fraud, Harassment: Manalapan Police Blotter
Manalapan Police reported four incidents of property theft from Sept. 2 through Sept. 8.
MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Police reported incidents of theft, fraud, harassment and more from Sept. 2 through Sept. 8.
Sept. 2
At 9:19 a.m., patrols responded to a business on Mount Vernon Road in reference to a 911 call. Upon arrival, patrols found a 47-year-old victim of Union Beach and a 29-year- old victim of Newark who had both sustained non-life-threatening injuries from a propane tank fire. Both victims were transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for treatment.

A 60-year-old Manalapan resident reported that between Aug. 25 and Aug. 26, approximately $40,000.00 was unlawfully removed from their bank account.
At 3:21 p.m., patrols responded to a home in Manalapan in reference to a theft of property report. Upon arrival, the victim was identified as a 47-year-old Manalapan resident. It
was reported that unknown actor(s) had unlawfully entered the victim’s bedroom and stole a total of $7,000 worth of electronics and clothing.

Sept. 5
A 49-year-old Manalapan resident reported $1,249 worth of fraudulent transactions to their bank debit account.
Sept. 6
A 38-year-old Howell resident reported damage caused by ATVs driven on their property in Manalapan that they rent.
Sept. 7
At 4:42 p.m., patrols responded to a home in Manalapan in reference to a harassment complaint. Upon arrival, the victim was identified as a 65-year-old Manalapan resident. It was reported
that the victim was being harassed by a neighbor.
A 60-year-old Manalapan resident reported that they were deceived into sending $200 via an online application as a deposit for work to be done at their home.
A 40-year-old Manalapan resident reported being harassed by unknown subjects over a social media application.
Sept. 8
At 12:13 a.m., patrols responded to a home in Manalapan in reference to a theft of property report. Upon arrival, the victim was identified as a 47-year-old Manalapan resident. It was
reported that unknown actor(s) had unlawfully entered the victim’s bedroom and stole a total of $80 worth of clothing.
A 77-year-old Manalapan resident reported that $205,020 was unlawfully removed from their home equity line of credit over the course of three separate transactions on Aug. 12 and Aug. 18.
A 52-year-old Manchester resident who was performing construction work in Manalapan reported approximately $3,000 in equipment unlawfully taken from the job site.
