Participants will learn the ancient Ukrainian art of Pysanky, a centuries-old egg decorating tradition rooted in themes of life, renewal and protection. Proceeds from the event will support “Help Ukrainian Veterans Heal and Recover – 2026 Chapter,” led by Nathalie Halbout, a Ukrainian American registered nurse who lives in Red Bank.

“I’ve spent the last four years providing support to the wounded,” says Halbout. “I recently returned from a five-month humanitarian mission in Ukraine, where I volunteered in hospitals caring for wounded veterans in Kyiv. The number of wounded is staggering, and hospitals lack supplies we often take for granted in the United States.”

In spring 2026, Halbout will return to Ukraine for her third mission to deliver essential supplies including crutches, air mattresses, linens, medications, and clothing — basic items that significantly improve recovery and restore dignity and hope.

Nathalie and her husband David Halbout personally fund all operational expenses, ensuring that 100% of donations go directly toward purchasing medical and recovery supplies.

The event organizer, Melanka Coppola, lives in Manasquan and she belongs to the church hosting the event.
