  • Seaview Square, Ocean Township, N.J. (1,750 square feet): JLL secured a lease at the established shopping center serving the Monmouth County retail market.
    ● 197 Route 9, Marlboro, N.J. (1,000 square feet):
Located along Route 9, a major retail and commuter corridor in central New Jersey, the location provides access to surrounding residential
    communities and regional shopping traffic.
  • 602 Pacific Street, Brooklyn, N.Y. (500 square feet): Situated near Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the location positions Krispy Kreme within a densely populated residential, commercial, and
entertainment district with access to pedestrian activity and public transportation.

JLL Managing Director David Townes, based in the firm's Parsippany, New Jersey office, represented Krispy Kreme in all three transactions.

"These three transactions reflect Krispy Kreme's strategic approach to expanding its presence across the New York metropolitan area," Townes said. "From established suburban retail destinations in New Jersey to high-density urban corridors in Brooklyn, each location offers a distinct opportunity to connect with consumers."

"As the brand continues its regional expansion, identifying well-positioned retail spaces that align with its operational needs and customer base will remain a key priority," he continued.

The leases in Marlboro and Ocean Township, as well as Brooklyn, NY, follow a mid-October announcement from Krispy Kreme about a development deal to expand across the New York Metro Area.

On Oct. 13, the chain announced a franchise development agreement with Original Entrepreneurs LLC to open 33 Krispy Kreme shops across the New York metro area over the next five years.

The shops will be developed in New York City and the surrounding region, including Long Island and New Jersey.

The Original Entrepreneurs group, a long-time Krispy Kreme franchisee and experienced quick-service restaurant operator, currently operates 12 Krispy Kreme shops.

“We're pleased to continue growing with Original Entrepreneurs,” Krispy Kreme CEO Josh Charlesworth said. “This development agreement reflects our focus on capital-light franchise growth and enables us to expand with an operator that has deep expertise building and operating Krispy Kreme shops in a competitive market.”

Currently, Krispy Kreme has New Jersey locations in Collingswood, East Rutherford, Springfield, Jersey City, Lakewood and Paramus.
