Mendham EMTs Rescue Runner In Distress On Patriots Path

The runner experienced a medical emergency while in the woods, officials said.

MENDHAM, NJ — Mendham first responders aided a runner in distress on Patriots Path this week.

On Tuesday, around 5 p.m., the Mendham First Aid Squad was called to Patriots' Path near Dean Road on reports of a runner in distress.

Authorities learned that the runner had been experiencing a medical emergency.

Mendham EMTs treated the runner and safely took them out of the woods. The runner was later taken to the Morristown Medical Center for treatment without further incident.

"We'd like to thank our partners at the Mendham Borough Police Department and Atlantic Mobile Health Paramedics for their support as always," a statement read. "A special thank you as well to the Morris County Sheriff's Office for deploying their UTV to assist with the response."
