WATCH: Geyser-Like Water Main Break Strikes Mendham Twp

MENDHAM, NJ — A water main break in Mendham Township created quite the spectacle when it began launching gallons of water several feet into the air.

On Sunday, police posted about a water main break on Knollwood Trail.

Video of the break shows water erupting from the ground, launching gallons higher than the trees in the area.

"Who needs to visit Yellowstone when we have our own Old Faithful here in the Twp?" police said.

Authorities said that the break was being repaired by American Water, and that some residents may have experienced little to no water pressure as repairs were made.
