2 Weeks Of Road, Utility Work Begins In Montclair: See Impacted Streets

PSE&G is milling and paving to resurface roadways that were recently impacted by gas line service and repairs.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Two weeks of road and utility work are scheduled to begin Monday in Montclair.

“PSE&G is currently milling and paving to resurface roadways in Montclair recently impacted by gas line service and repairs they completed,” an advisory from the township states.

All work depends on the weather, field conditions, emergency repairs and contractor operations. Schedules are subject to change.

The following roads will be impacted, the township said:

  • Dodd St & Stephen St (Grove St to Ridgewood Ave): September 14
  • Upper Mountain Ave (Watchung Ave to Jerome Pl): September 14–17
  • Garfield Pl (Valley Rd): September 14–15
  • Alexander Ave (Dead End to Valley Rd): September 16–23
  • Prescott Ave (Grove St to Ridgewood Ave): September 18 & 22
  • Clairidge Ct & Harvard St (Grove St to Ridgewood Ave): September 21
  • Gray St, Dodd St & Stephen St (Grove St to Ridgewood Ave): September 22
  • Valley Rd (Mt. Hebron Rd to Laurel Pl): September 24–25

“PSE&G is a state-regulated utility and may change work locations with little notice, and the township may not always receive advance notice of those changes,” the advisory added. “Temporary road closures, detours and traffic impacts may also occur on streets not listed.”
