Car Stolen In Montclair While Owner Asks For Directions: Police
The victim said he parked his car and left it unattended while asking for directions – and then somebody stole it.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Someone stole a driver’s car while he was asking for directions in Montclair last week, authorities say.
According to the Montclair Police Department, the theft happened Jan. 29 on Bloomfield Avenue.
The victim told officers that he parked his 2024 Hyundai Tucson on the 700-block of Bloomfield Avenue and left it unattended briefly while he was asking someone for directions – and then someone stole it.

The victim told police that he found his vehicle two days later in Newark.
