Several Montclair teens will be continuing their promising sports careers in college. Another earned a spot in a prestigious winter camp.

Montclair High School Rowing is proud to announce a series of recent athlete achievements that underscore the program’s enduring excellence at both the national and collegiate levels. From commitments at some of the nation’s most selective academic institutions to elite U.S. National Team pathway selection, Montclair Rowing athletes continue to distinguish themselves on and off the water, bringing pride, visibility, and distinction to Montclair High School as one of the district’s longest standing and most successful Varsity programs.
Montclair Rowers Commit to Top Collegiate Programs

Montclair High School Rowing is proud to celebrate their first round of ’26 collegiate recruiting commitments, continuing the program’s longstanding tradition of preparing student-athletes for success at highly competitive academic institutions.
- Charlotte King has committed to Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she will continue her rowing career while pursuing a rigorous academic program. MIT women’s rowing competes at the Division I level and is widely recognized for excellence in both academics and athletics.
- Caroline Loscalzo has been recruited as a coxswain to the University of Washington. Washington is one of the most storied rowing Division 1 programs in the country, with a long tradition of national championships, Olympic representation, and leadership in the sport.
- Olivia Pearce has committed to Wesleyan University, where she will row for the Cardinals. Wesleyan competes in Division III and is known for combining strong academic standards with a competitive rowing tradition.
- Finn Wilson has been recruited to Tufts University, continuing Montclair Rowing’s strong representation among Division III, top-tier academic institutions with competitive men’s and women’s collegiate rowing programs.
Brooks Bateman Named to USRowing U19 High Performance Winter Camp

MHS Junior coxswain Brooks Bateman has been selected as one of just three men’s coxswains nationwide to attend USRowing’s U19 High Performance Winter Camp at the official U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Elite Athlete Training Center in Chula Vista, California.
This invitation places Brooks among the top U19 coxswains in the country and into USRowing’s U19 athlete development pipeline, a pathway designed to identify and prepare top tier athletes for U.S. Selection Camps, international competition, and long-term U.S. National Team and Olympic consideration.
