Road Rage Leads To Fight In Montclair, Police Say

A driver honked his horn at another motorist. They got out of their cars and started arguing – and then got physical, police said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A case of “road rage” led to a fight in Montclair last week, authorities say.

According to the Montclair Police Department, the incident took place on July 29 at the intersection of Gordonhurst Avenue and Park Street.

The dispute reportedly began when a driver began honking his horn at someone driving a black pickup truck. Both motorists got out of their cars and started arguing – and the fight eventually turned physical, police said.

The driver in the black pickup truck drove himself to Mountainside Medical Center to be treated for a cut to his chin, authorities said.

A police investigation continues, authorities said.
