Former Nudist Resort In Morris County Sells For $1.35M, Report Says

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A massive Morris County property that once operated as a nudist resort has been sold, according to an NJ.com report.

The Mount Olive property at 50 Drakestown Road, once known as Camp Goodland and later Goodland Country Club, has sold for $1.35 million after six months of being on the market, the report says.

The property's main home, built in the 1820s, has roughly 5,900 square feet of living space, 10 bedrooms and three bathrooms. The property includes an array of existing structures and improvements across the grounds, while its Victorian-era residence features historic details including hardwood flooring, fireplaces and stonework.

The listing also mentions an Olympic-sized pool, a sun deck, a hot tub, volleyball and shuffleboard courts, roughly 20 trailer sites, eight RV sites and six campsite areas.

The estate was later expanded and given as a wedding gift to Paula Kramer in the 1920s. After the stock market crashed, Kramer rented the property to a group of nudists, according to NJ.com.

The report adds that the estate's new owners plan to restore and renovate the property, turning it into a wellness retreat.
