Man Killed In Chaotic Chain-Reaction Turnpike Pileup, Police Say
Four vehicles were involved in a crash that left one dead and another injured.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A Morris County man is dead following a chaotic car crash on a busy North Jersey highway this week, police said.
On Tuesday, just after 11 a.m., police were called to the New Jersey Turnpike's Hudson Bay Extension east at milepost 2.8 in Bayonne City, Hudson County, on reports of a crash.
Authorities say that a Freightliner tractor-trailer slammed into the rear of an Acura SUV driven by 64-year-old Timothy S. Roufaeal, of Boonton.

The collision set off a chain of events, causing the Acura to slam into a Jeep before veering into a concrete barrier, authorities said. The Jeep then crashed into the rear of a Toyota pickup truck, officials added.
As a result of the crash, Roufaeal suffered fatal injuries, and his front-seat passenger was rushed to the hospital to be treated for "moderate injuries," according to police.
