Morristown Council To Consider Parking, Tennis Court Measures

MORRISTOWN, NJ — The Morristown Town Council is scheduled to meet Tuesday with several ordinances and resolutions up for consideration.

The regular meeting begins at 7:30 p.m., or immediately following an executive session scheduled for 7 p.m.

Among the measures being introduced is an ordinance that would amend Morristown's residential parking rules in an effort to limit the parking of immobile vehicles on residential streets.

Council members will also introduce an ordinance establishing zoning requirements for portable storage containers.

Another ordinance up for adoption would establish compensation for the town's management and non-union positions.

The council is also expected to consider a resolution allowing Morristown to auction and lease up to 50 parking spaces at Town Hall, 200 South St., on a monthly basis.

Another resolution would award a contract to D. Torluccio Landscaping LLC for the reconstruction of the Jacob Ford tennis courts.

The consent agenda also includes approvals related to two upcoming block parties, the 2027 St. Patrick's Day Parade and The Homestead's participation in the Sept. 27 Fall Festival.
