NEWARK, NJ — Police are investigating reports of gunfire at Weequahic Park in Newark last weekend. No victims have been located, authorities said.

Newark police said the “shots fired incident” took place Saturday at the county-run park.

“No victims have been located, none have come forth, nor have any victim(s) arrived at an area hospital for treatment,” authorities said.

The Essex County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident, Newark police said.
