‘Integrity Day’ Will Return In Newark: Free Health Resources, Screenings, Entertainment

Integrity House, one of New Jersey’s largest licensed not-for-profit providers of comprehensive substance use disorder and mental health services, will hold its third annual Integrity Day celebration on August 20, 2026. Co-hosted by the Newark Department of Health and Community Wellness, the free, public event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lincoln Park in Newark, N.J., with a rain date of August 27, 2026.
Now in its third year, Integrity Day brings together Newark residents, health professionals, and community organizations to celebrate wellness, promote connection, and reaffirm Integrity House's commitment to supporting the health and well-being of the Newark community. Since establishing its permanent headquarters in Newark's Lincoln Park neighborhood, Integrity House has expanded its outreach, healthcare, and treatment programs throughout New Jersey while remaining deeply rooted in the city where its mission began in 1968.

The event provides an opportunity for community members to access health resources, connect with local organizations, and learn more about services available throughout Newark and the surrounding region. Attendees will have access to a range of free wellness activities and services, including:
- Screenings for substance use disorders, mental health conditions, and infectious diseases
- Vital sign checks
- Risk reduction supplies, including naloxone
- Health and wellness information and resources
- A community dance class and other family-friendly activities
- A raffle, free food, music, and giveaways
Integrity Day will also bring together community health and social service organizations that provide support, resources, and services to individuals and families throughout Newark and the surrounding region. Participating organizations include START – The Center for Great Expectations, Essex County Community Health, Covenant House New Jersey, YMCA of Newark and Vicinity, Isaiah House, Greater Essex Counseling Services, NJCRI, CURA, Inc., RWJ Barnabas Health Institute for Prevention and Recovery, and Care Plus NJ, among others.
