Now in the care of Associated Humane Societies, including its Newark-connected system, the dogs are receiving intensive grooming and veterinary treatment before they can be adopted. Staff say some are just months old and face a lengthy recovery but are finally safe.

4. Food Delivery To The Gate: Airline Launches New Service At Newark Airport (patch.com) — Travelers flying through Newark Airport on select United flights can now pre-order food, drinks, and travel essentials via the airline's app and pick them up right at their Terminal C gate. The pilot program, run with OTG and restaurants like Nonna's Kitchen and Victory Grill, aims to make grabbing a meal or medicine easier for Newark-area fliers before expanding to Houston.
   

5. Newark Police Seek Suspect After Apple Laptop, iPad Stolen From Unlocked Vehicle (shorenewsnetwork.com) — Newark police are asking for your help identifying a woman accused of stealing an Apple laptop and iPad from an unlocked car on the 500 block of 18th Avenue around 12:40 p.m. on Aug. 30. Surveillance images captured the suspect, and residents are urged to secure vehicles, avoid leaving valuables inside, and call the 24-hour Crime Stoppers line with any tips.
