• NJEDA, RWJBarnabas Health Commit $10M to Life Sciences Sta (snjtoday.com) — A new $10 million investment from NJEDA and RWJBarnabas Health will fuel life sciences startups at the HELIX Innovation Hub in downtown New Brunswick, supporting jobs, research, and healthcare innovation. The hub already hosts 18 member companies and is backed by Rutgers, Johnson & Johnson, local governments, and other partners to grow the city's innovation economy.
   

• U.S. Homebuyer Demand Hits Record Low as Seller Surplus Widens (mychesco.com) — New Brunswick is one of just a few U.S. markets where homebuyers still outnumber sellers, with about 13% fewer sellers than buyers even as demand cools nationally. A new Redfin analysis shows most big metros now favor buyers, but New Brunswick and Newark remain seller-friendly, with tighter inventory and stronger price growth. Local homeowners may have extra leverage, while buyers face stiffer competition than in many other cities.
