Rutgers Dean Accused Of Taking Upskirt Videos On His Phone (patch.com) — Residents in New Brunswick are learning that a Rutgers dean of research has been charged with invasion of privacy after authorities say he secretly recorded upskirt videos on the university's campus. The university has placed him on paid administrative leave and banned him from campus, while state investigators are asking anyone who believes they may be a victim to come forward.
   

2. Amazing animation Spheres screens at the New Jersey Film Festival on September 6th! (newjerseystage.com) — A visually striking short film, Spheres, will screen both online and in person at Rutgers' Voorhees Hall on Hamilton Street in New Brunswick as part of the New Jersey Film Festival on September 6. The hybrid festival runs September 4–October 4 with additional screenings, an audio-visual concert, and free filmmaking workshops at Voorhees Hall, giving locals multiple chances to engage with independent cinema.
   

3. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Neurosurgeon Receives $2.9 Million (rwjbh.org) — A New Brunswick-based neurosurgeon at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School has secured a $2.9 million NIH grant to improve surgical planning for epilepsy patients. The five-year study, centered at RWJUH, aims to pinpoint brain "choke points" that trigger seizures, potentially making epilepsy surgery safer and more effective for local residents who don't respond to medication.
   

4. Police shoot knife-wielding man after Sayreville confrontation (mycentraljersey.com) — A man shot by a Sayreville police officer after allegedly advancing with a knife was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick for treatment. The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office is independently investigating the Saturday evening incident and is asking anyone with information or surveillance footage from the Kendall Drive area to come forward.
