Ocean City Voters In 2 Second Ward Districts Get New Polling Site

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City voters in two Second Ward districts will see a polling place change starting with the 2026 general election, according to an announcement from the Ocean City Clerk’s Office.

Voters in Second Ward District 1 and District 5 will now vote at the Ocean City Civic Center, located between Fifth Street and Sixth Street just off the Boardwalk. Adjacent parking is accessible from Fifth Street, according to the announcement. The change means all five Second Ward districts will vote at the same location.

The polling place for District 1 and District 5 had been the 8th Street Recreation Center at 8th Street and Haven Avenue. Under the new plan, voters in all five Second Ward districts will go to the polls at the Civic Center for the general election on Nov. 3, 2026, and for all other elections going forward, according to the Clerk’s Office announcement.

The Second Ward extends from the south side of 4th Street to the north side of 12th Street.
