• Perth Amboy breaks ground on Gateway Project — 18.6 acres dedicated to future of city (binje.com) — Perth Amboy has broken ground on the Gateway Project, turning long-contaminated industrial land near the Victory Bridge into new commercial space, public recreation areas, and future development sites. The project dedicates 18.6 acres to city use, is expected to create about 400 long-term jobs, and could generate roughly $1 million in annual revenue for residents’ services.
   

• More than 2,500 veterans find permanent housing through state initiative (news12.com) — A Navy veteran and his fiancée have just moved into a permanent apartment in Perth Amboy thanks to New Jersey’s Bringing Veterans Home initiative, which targets veteran homelessness.
