California couple sentenced for Point Pleasant armed burglary (starnewsgroup.com) — A Point Pleasant Borough resident was victimized in a 2025 armed home burglary on Barton Avenue, and the two California suspects have now been sentenced to New Jersey State Prison. Prosecutors say one defendant also fired a gunshot as they fled, and both have been held in Ocean County Jail since their arrest in Toms River. Local police and county investigators worked together to secure the convictions.
