America's 250th Anniversary Parade, Block Party On Tap In Point Pleasant Beach (patch.com) — Point Pleasant Beach residents can wrap up the summer Sunday with a special celebration of America's 250th anniversary, starting with a morning parade along Arnold Avenue. Afterward, a block party at the bandshell will feature speeches, a Revolutionary War reenactment, live music, local vendors, and family activities, all centered right in town.
   

2. Registration needed to ride e-bikes to Boro high school (starnewsgroup.com) — If your teen rides an e‑bike to Point Pleasant Borough High School this year, they'll now need to register it with the school, display a decal, and provide license and insurance documentation plus a $10 fee. Administrators say the policy aligns with New Jersey's e‑bike law and warn that violations, discipline issues, or unsafe riding can lead to revoked e‑bike privileges.
   

3. California couple sentenced for Point Pleasant armed burglary (starnewsgroup.com) — A Point Pleasant Borough resident was victimized in a 2025 armed home burglary on Barton Avenue, and the two California suspects have now been sentenced to New Jersey State Prison. Prosecutors say one defendant also fired a gunshot as they fled, and both have been held in Ocean County Jail since their arrest in Toms River. Local police and county investigators worked together to secure the convictions.
   

4. Nonresident taxpayers hear borough updates (starnewsgroup.com) — Point Pleasant Beach officials recently briefed more than 200 taxpayers on major issues, from road, sewer and sidewalk projects stretching into 2027 to a still-uncertain Seastreak ferry proposal. Speakers also detailed heavy Fourth of July police demands, a solid but slower real estate market, and ideas like shorter off‑season rentals and a new grocery option to support the downtown business district.
   

5. 'One of fastest big boys I've ever seen': Meet N.J.'s next star football recruit, a 335-pound OL mauler (nj.com subscription) — A rising national football recruit from Donovan Catholic will soon line up against Point Pleasant Boro as part of a tougher Shore Conference schedule featuring several ranked programs. The 6-foot-4, 335-pound sophomore lineman already holds major college offers and is praised for his size, athleticism, and work ethic, setting up intriguing matchups with local pass rushers this season.
