9 People Forced From Home By Early Morning Fire In Monmouth County

RED BANK, NJ — Two families are receiving emergency assistance after a fire ripped through a Chestnut Street home early Thursday.

At 2:33 a.m., all Red Bank units responded to a home on Chestnut Street for a report of a structure fire/box alarm.

The units were joined by River Plaza RIT Team, Middletown Station 8, the Sea Bright Fire Department, Little Silver Fire Department, Fair Haven Fire Department, Monmouth County and Red Bank Fire Marshal Offices, as well as EMS 3201.

Photos posted by the Red Bank Fire Department show heavy damage to the exterior of the home, as well as multiple fire trucks in the area.

According to a post from the Red Cross New Jersey, nine people in two families are receiving emergency assistance following the fire.

That assistance includes temporary lodging, food, clothing and other immediate needs.

Red Cross Disaster Health and Disaster Mental Health Services are also available.
