• New Jersey Dairy Processor Pays $52K Penalty (lancasterfarming.com) — A Ridgefield-based cheese company, Montena Taranto Foods, has paid a $52,500 penalty after Pennsylvania regulators found it bought milk from an unlicensed seller and filed late or incomplete reports. The firm has now agreed to stop buying from that seller and received a provisional license to continue doing business with Pennsylvania dairy producers, contingent on improved compliance.
