21 Bergen County Elementary Schools Make U.S. News List Of Best In State

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — New rankings of elementary schools, released by U.S. News and World Report on Tuesday, put 21 schools in Bergen County near the top.

The 2027 Best Elementary and Middle Schools rankings report includes about 46,000 public elementary schools and more than 24,000 middle schools across the country.

For the elementary school list, any public school with students between K and 8, including charter schools, was included.

The rankings come from public data from state agencies and the U.S. Department of Education, including reading and math performance.

"By incorporating direct state data across all proficiency levels, the 2027 rankings offer a richer, more complete picture of how elementary and middle schools are driving student growth," said Eric Brooks, U.S. News director of education data analysis.
