Fatal Motorcycle Crash Snarls NJ Turnpike Traffic In Bergen County

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A motorcyclist died in a fatal crash on the New Jersey Turnpike Sunday morning, state police said.

Ardjent Shaini, 51, of Staten Island crashed on the Turnpike's Western Spur in Rutherford around 9:30 a.m., said State Trooper Christopher Postorino.

Shaini lost control of his Kawasaki motorcycle, Postorino said. It overturned and struck a guardrail, throwing him from the vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation, he said.
